LOVE STORY contest — Valued at $1,800


Did you know that 39% of proposals happen in the months of December to February (Weddingbells)? 

Happy new year and congratulations to those of you who are newly engaged! In order to celebrate the commencement of 2012, your engagement, and your love story, High Culture, Jill Coursen Photography, and Jenn Chivers-Freelance Hair and Makeup have teamed up to produce the LOVE STORY contest. In 2011, High Culture and Jill Coursen Photography celebrated Valentine’s day with our very first LOVE STORY contest. We had a fabulous response from many brides and grooms and our e-mails were flooded with beautiful love stories. This year, we’re doing things a little differently, but it will be fabulous nonetheless. 

The winning couple of the New Year’s LOVE STORY contest will receive a stylized engagement session designed by High Culture and shot by Jill Coursen Photography; hair & makeup will be compliments of Jenn Chivers-Freelance Hair and Makeup. 


The Winnings

The package will begin with a complimentary two-hour ‘Design Consultation’ with Rebecca of High Culture. During this meeting, we will work to create a cohesive wedding design to suit your wedding vision. In consideration of your venue(s) and budget, we will begin to design a concept and provide you with some suggestions of suitable service providers. At this time, we will begin to discuss the way in which your engagement session will be cohesive to the style of your wedding and a unique representation of you and your love story.      


Taking into consideration all of the details discussed at the ‘Design Consultation,’ Rebecca of High Culture will produce a stylized engagement session and your love story will be captured by Jill Coursen Photography. On the day of the engagement session, the bride-to-be and her future husband will be provided with hair and makeup trials compliments of Jenn Chivers-Freelance Hair and Makeup.

How to Enter

- Your proposal story

- How/when did you know that he/she was the one you wanted to spend the rest of your life with?

- What makes you a unique and deserving couple?

2. You must visit all three of our Facebook pages and “like” them. In your e-mail, please state that you have ensured to follow this step. If you are not a Facebook member, but would still like to enter the contest, please share with us how you found out about the contest.

The Voting Process
Once the submissions close at 11:59pm on 31 January 2012, all submissions will be added to a Facebook album on High Culture’s page entitled “New Year’s LOVE STORY contest.” If you are not a Facebook member, but would still like to vote, please e-mail us with whom you wish to vote for to high.culture@me.com with the subject ‘LOVE STORY contest.’ The voting process will be held starting 1 February 2012 for one week. The five couples with the most votes will be entered into the final draw and selected with the help of www.random.org. 

The Finer Details
* Current clients of any of the above cannot enter.
* Contest is closed to those who are already working with a photographer, hairstylist, makeup artist, and/or wedding coordinator.
* Winner must redeem prize by 31 December 2012. Some blackout dates may apply.

1 February 2012 — All submissions are released on Facebook.
8 February 2012, 11:59pm — Voting process closes.

Second photographer for Pink Sugar Photography

This is the third year I’ve taken Patricia and Scott’s photos and this year they are welcoming a new addition to their family! Congrats and all the best! :)

I’ve known Courtney for about 10 years. We were good friends and roomates through out college and we had so much fun through those years! As long as we’ve known each other Courtney has dreamed of becoming a mom. Now in a couple of weeks I get to meet her new son! I’m so excited!!! Congrats Courtney and Greg! xox
